How
does the program work?
The Hole In One Prize Program is designed to attract golfers
to your golf event by offering highly attractive prizes
for
shooting a hole-in-one.
As a tournament organizer you select your own grand prize...
a car, a boat, a motorbike, an exotic vacation, cash...
the choice is yours.
Contact a local dealer for your car, boat, motorbike or
vacation package to determine the value of your prize
and arrange to have the prize displayed at your event.
We'll cover you for the value of the grand prize in the
event of a hole-in-one. If someone shoots a hole-in-one,
we pay the winner on your behalf.
Your only cost is our fee which is a fraction of the value
of your grand prize.
And as a bonus, we give you three other fabulous
hole-in-one
prizes for your tournament...absolutely free.
The bonus prizes include:

• Set of Golf Clubs &
Matching Bag
You'll
have 4 prizes each on a different par-3 hole for your event.
We also provide free prize signs and a comlimentary
Golf Kit for each player.
And
we customize the grand prize sign with the sponsor's name.
The
program is currently only available in Canada & USA.
What's the cost?
The fee for the program is based on the value of your grand
prize and the number of players in your event. For example,
with a $10,000 grand prize and up to 144 players, the fee
for the
program is only $299.
The fee includes shipping via UPS Ground.
There are no extra or hidden charges.
For Canadian accounts prize values and fees are in Canadian
funds.
Is there a minimum fee?
Our fee is based on the value of the grand prize and the
number
of shots at the prize with a minimum fee of $299.
A minimum of 24 players is required to be eligible for the
program.
What
is yardage requirements?
The grand prize hole requires a minimum of 165 yards for
men and 150 yards for ladies.Men and ladies play the same
yardage for the bonus prizes. The Golf Vacation and the
Carnival Cruise prizes require 150 yards. The golf clubs
require 140 yards.
The selected holes must play to the yardage on the Golf
Club's scorecard while meeting our minimum requirements.
Do we need observers on the prize holes?
An adult, non-participating observer is required at the
grand prize hole during the event and the yardage for each
selected prize hole must meet our minimum distance requirements.
Prizes over $25,000 require two observers. Observers on
the bonus prize holes are optional
What's the turn around time?
Generally, we require 7 business days to complete the
paperwork, produce prize signs and ship via UPS Ground.
We also offer an Express Service for an additional fee.
What's included with the bonus prizes?
The Golf Vacation prize for 2 consist of a $1,999 voucher
to be
applied to any golf package offered by Merit Golf Vacations.
Packages
include accomodations, green fees, golf cart,
pre-booked tee times and local car rental with unlimited
mileage.
Airfare not included. Merit
offers over 50 destinations, more than
120 resorts and 600 golf courses worldwide.
The 3-day Carnival Cruise prize for two departs Miami, Florida
with a Category 4 Interior cabin. Port charges and government
taxes are extra. Coach airfare from select major cities
is included.
Additional airfare may apply from other cities.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded with no cash substitution
and must be claimed within one year. Black out dates may
apply.
What if we get rained out or have to cancel?
Cancellations due to inclement weather, can be re-scheduled
within 90 days at no additional fee.
Cancellation Before Play
If the event is canceled before play, a full credit is applied
to the
re-scheduled event. If the event is not re-scheduled within
90 days,
return the prize signs & golf kits for a full refund, less
a $45 administrative fee.
Cancellation During Play
If the event is canceled during play, a credit based on
the number of shots at the grand prize is applied to the
re-scheduled event.
If the event is not re-scheduled within 90 days, a refund
based on the number of shots at the grand prize and a $45
administrative fee is issued.
What
do we do when a prize is won?
Contact us by email, fax or telephone immediately
after the event.
We will provide you with a simple, one-page Proof Of Claim
form
that requires information on the ace maker, the playing
partners and the hole observer. We usually process claims
within 15 business days.
We award the first hole-in-one only on each of the four
prize holes.
The prizes are not replaceable for additional hole-on-ones
